The college is a Grant-in-Aid institution receiving the salaries of its permanent full-time employees from the Govt of West Bengal under its Pay Packet Scheme.

The college routinely receives grants from the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi to organize Seminars and Workshops at the National or State Levels, and to purchase equipment from time to time.

Additionally, the college has received grants from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt of West Bengal; Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) and the West Bengal State Council of Higher Education (WBSCHE) for the organization of seminars.

Recently the college received a substantial grant from the Central and State Govts under the RashtriyaUchchataraUnnayanAbhiyan RUSA) to initiate new construction, carry out repairs and renovation and to purchase equipment.

The Women’s Study Cell of the college received an International Grant of 4400 USD in 2015 from the United Board of Christian Higher Education in Asia (UBCHEA) to carry out its project entitled ‘Women: Violence and Rights’. The programme is being run very successfully.
