Karate classes were introduced in the college since 2013 with a view to equipping the students with self-defence skills that they may protect themselves in challenging situations. This is in keeping with the larger policy of the college which aims to impart holistic education comprehensively preparing students for the world ahead.
The students participate in various karate tournaments and championships across the State, and some have even won awards in these meets.
On Annual Sports Day the students showcase their karate skills by providing a demonstration of the same.



Under the ageis of Women’s Study Cell, a self-defenceprogrammesed recently was organiin collaboration with the 7th Chakra Arts for Self-Preservation, which addressed the need for martial training for young women in today’s scenario.
